Delhi is the hub of our network: every long booking starts or ends at IGI Airport or the railway stations, and a day or two in the capital - the Mughal north, the Sultanate south, the museums between - settles guests before the highways begin.

Uttar Pradesh gives a road trip its landmarks: the Taj at Agra, Krishna's Mathura and Vrindavan, Lucknow's Nawabi lanes, Ram Mandir at Ayodhya and the ghats of Varanasi. Two expressways carry most of it, and one car covers the state west to east in a week.

Delhi, Agra and Jaipur remain the first road trip most visitors take in India, and for good reason: three World Heritage cities, two expressways, and roughly 750 km in total. We run the loop in either direction and extend it toward Ranthambore or Pushkar on request.

Rajasthan is where a chauffeur-driven car pays off most: forts a day apart, desert roads that trains never touch, and luggage that grows in every bazaar. Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer and Udaipur on a ten to twelve day loop is our most booked long circuit.

Uttarakhand holds the Ganga's source and the plains' favourite hill stations: Haridwar and Rishikesh at the foot, Mussoorie and Nainital above, Corbett's tigers to the east, the Char Dham in season. Hill-rated cars and drivers come as standard on every booking here.

Himachal's roads - NH5 to Shimla and Kinnaur, NH3 to Manali and the Atal Tunnel, the Kangra valley to Dharamshala - are the reason to hire a car rather than a bus seat. We run the state from Chandigarh, Shimla, Manali and Dharamshala.

Punjab is Amritsar's Golden Temple and Wagah first, then a state best seen from the back seat: Grand Trunk Road dhabas, Anandpur Sahib, Patiala's palaces and the farm belt around Attari. NH44 makes it an eight-hour day from Delhi.

Jammu's Vaishno Devi and Kashmir's lakes, gardens and Gulmarg gondola sit on one long road through the Chenani-Nashri tunnel. Our Jammu and Srinagar cars carry the convoy timings and weather holds so guests need only keep a buffer day.
