Embrace the diverse cultures, traditions, and vibrant festivals that make India a captivating destination. With its blend of history, spirituality, and natural beauty, India tour package from Taiwan promises an unforgettable adventure. Have a look at some of the popular varieties of India Holiday packages:
Cultural Immersion and Heritage Tourism: History lovers from Taiwan can step from the Taj Mahal to Rajasthan's hilltop fortresses to the boulder-strewn ruins of Hampi, while craft workshops, classical dance evenings and the great festivals of Holi and Diwali bring the past vividly into the present.
Spiritual Retreats and Wellness Tourism: Beyond the Buddhist circuit, Varanasi's riverfront rituals and Rishikesh's Ganges-side ashrams welcome guests for yoga courses, meditation and Ayurvedic treatment - a quieter, inward-facing chapter that balances the sightseeing days.
Wildlife and Nature Exploration: Tiger reserves such as Ranthambore and Corbett, the slow green canals of Kerala and day-walks in the Himalayan foothills reveal a wilder India than most first-time visitors expect.
Two threads draw many Taiwanese visitors to India. One is Buddhism at its source: Bodh Gaya's Mahabodhi Temple, the deer park at Sarnath and the ruins of Nalanda's great monastery are all within one eastern circuit, and Dharamshala - seat of the Tibetan community in exile in the Himalayan foothills - adds a living tradition to the historical one. The other is tea: after Taiwan's high-mountain oolongs, the estates of Darjeeling make a rewarding pilgrimage of a different kind, with tastings and colonial-era planters' bungalows. Vegetarian travellers will find India effortless, and the short 2.5-hour time difference means you land ready to explore.
The contrasts are half the fun for visitors from Taiwan. Delhi's Chandni Chowk delivers the same electric, snack-driven energy as a Taipei night market, only three centuries older and threaded with rickshaws; the answer to Alishan's famous sunrise is dawn at Tiger Hill above Darjeeling, when the first light catches Kanchenjunga, the world's third-highest peak. Hill towns such as Shimla and Darjeeling offer cool air, toy trains and colonial-era charm, while homestays in the Himalayan foothills suit travellers who like Taiwan's minsu guesthouse culture. Temple etiquette transfers easily - shoes off, modest dress, clockwise circumambulation - though Hindu temples add their own rituals worth watching quietly. For a first ten-day visit we usually suggest Delhi, Agra and Jaipur followed by either the Buddhist circuit or Darjeeling, depending on whether history or mountains call louder.
Taiwan passport holders are eligible for the Indian e-Visa, so there is no embassy visit: complete the form and pay online at indianvisaonline.gov.in, the only official portal, and the approval arrives by email within a few days. Carry a printed copy and a passport with at least six months' validity.
We quote in Indian rupees (INR), so the figure on your quote is the figure you pay whatever the New Taiwan dollar (TWD) rate does before you travel. Pay by Visa, Mastercard, Maestro or American Express through our secure online Pay page, or settle in rupees when you arrive.
9 am to 9 pm Indian Standard Time, every day of the week, or 11.30 am to 11.30 pm Taiwan time for you. For anything outside those hours, email or WhatsApp us on +91 8448228850; every message gets a reply the following morning in Delhi.
Book to Delhi (DEL) unless your trip is built around the south. Indira Gandhi International is where the Golden Triangle, Rajasthan, the Himalaya and Varanasi all start, and your chauffeur waits at arrivals. From Taipei you connect once to Delhi, usually through Bangkok, Singapore, Hong Kong or Kuala Lumpur, for a total journey of about 9 to 11 hours.
October to March is ideal for Delhi, Agra, Rajasthan, Varanasi and Bodh Gaya and includes the Lunar New Year holiday. Summer travel is best pointed at Ladakh, Kashmir or Dharamshala rather than the monsoon plains.
Flights from Taipei arrive in Delhi direct or via Southeast Asian hubs; many Taiwanese guests combine the Buddhist sites of the Gangetic plain with the Himalayan north.
