Manali Kasol 5 days Tour Package Overview

  • DURATION 04 Nights 05 Days
  • TYPE OF TRIP ROAD TRIP
  • START CITY Delhi
  • DESTINATION CITY Manali - Solang valley - Manikaran - Kasol

The Kasol Manali tour joins two valleys that meet at Bhuntar. Manali, at about 2,050 m, is the base for the first three nights, with a day in town and a day up at Solang Valley. The fourth night moves to Kasol, a small village on the Parvati river at around 1,600 m, with the gurudwara and hot springs of Manikaran a few kilometres upstream. The trip runs for 04 nights and 05 days from Delhi.

Going up, the route is NH3 through Chandigarh and Mandi, then through the Aut tunnel and past Kullu to Manali, about 12 to 14 hours. Coming down, Kasol connects back to the highway at Bhuntar in about 1.5 hours, which trims the last day's drive to roughly 12 hours.

The best months for this combination are March to June and September to November, when Kasol is pleasant for walking and Solang has its summer activities running. December to February brings snow at Solang and cold, quiet days in the Parvati valley. July and August are best avoided: the Parvati road is prone to landslides and the river runs high. At Kasol the plan is deliberately loose, with time for the riverside walk to Chalal, the drive to Manikaran, and the cafes that have made the village popular with younger travellers.

Travel Itinerary
Day 1: Delhi - Manali

Delhi to Manali. An early start matters on this leg, since the full run is 12 to 14 hours. The vehicle takes NH3 past Chandigarh and Bilaspur, stops for lunch around Mandi, and then follows the Beas through the Aut tunnel and Kullu into Manali by evening. Check in and stay overnight.

Day 2: Manali sightseeing tour

Manali sightseeing. The day covers the town's main sights on foot and by car: Hidimba Devi Temple in its cedar grove, the lanes of Old Manali, the Vashisht hot springs across the river and the Tibetan monastery near the market. The Mall Road is kept for the evening. Overnight in Manali.

Day 3: Manali - Solang Valley

Manali to Solang Valley and back. A 40-minute drive brings you to Solang at about 2,500 m. Depending on the month, the day goes on skis and sledges (December to February) or on paragliding, zorbing, the ropeway and quad bikes (roughly April to November). Activities are paid on site. Return to Manali for the night.

Day 4: Manali - Kasol - Manikaran

Manali to Kasol and Manikaran. Drive down the Kullu valley to Bhuntar and turn up the Parvati road, about 2 to 2.5 hours in all. After check-in, continue 4 km upstream to Manikaran Sahib gurudwara, where the hot springs are used to cook the langar. Back in Kasol, the short forest walk across the footbridge to Chalal is an easy way to spend the late afternoon. Tosh and Kheerganga are longer outings and need an extra day if you want them included. Overnight in Kasol.

Day 5: Kasol - New Delhi

Kasol to Delhi. Leave after breakfast, rejoin the highway at Bhuntar and retrace the route through Mandi and Chandigarh. The drive takes about 12 hours, so arrival in Delhi is late evening.
