Haridwar Rishikesh Kanatal Tour Package Overview

  • DURATION 03 Nights 04 Days
  • TYPE OF TRIP ROAD TRIP
  • START CITY Delhi
  • DESTINATION CITY Haridwar - Rishikesh - Kanatal

Kanatal is a small village on the Chamba to Mussoorie road at about 2,600 metres, higher than Mussoorie and far quieter. It is about 80 km and 2.5 hours from Rishikesh, past Narendranagar and Chamba, and most visitors stay in tented camps or a handful of small hotels among the apple orchards and deodar. This 4 day package starts on the plains at Haridwar, moves up to Rishikesh, and finishes at that altitude before the single long drive back to Delhi.

The three stops are different in character. Haridwar is a temple town whose day ends with the aarti at Har Ki Pauri. Rishikesh is the base for rafting between September and June, with its own aarti at Triveni Ghat and the Laxman Jhula and Ram Jhula bridges. Kanatal is for walking, the Kodia forest and the Surkanda Devi temple, which stands on a ridge at about 2,750 metres and is reached by a short climb or the ropeway from Kaddukhal.

Winter brings snow to Kanatal from late December to February; April to June and September to November are the easiest months for the full loop.
